The Complete University Guide 2019 ranks Royal Holloway in the UK’s top 30 universities

Royal Holloway takes the 28th place in the Complete University Guide 2019, achieving another top 30 ranking nationally for the second year running. The league table assesses universities on student satisfaction, research quality and graduate prospects. Royal Holloway also ranked in the top 30 UK universities in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.

Professor Paul Layzell, Principal of Royal Holloway, says: “Students choose to study at Royal Holloway because they believe in the quality of our teaching, the value of our research and the environment and experience we offer which supports our students to succeed. Being once again ranked in the top 30 of all UK universities is independent endorsement that we are delivering on our promise.”

Top 10 for subjects

The results also recognise the high-quality programmes you can study at the University. Royal Holloway sits in the top ten for three of its subjects areas:

  • Creative Writing
  • Geology
  • Marketing.

"I am delighted that our strength in these areas has been recognised by having three subject areas in the top ten in the UK,” says Professor Layzell.

Royal Holloway has also invested in student well-being and comfort. It opened the new Emily Wilding Davison building last year, making sure you have all you need in a modern academic world.
